Funny Nursing Home Game Ideas

Here I have a detailed list of fun games to play at a nursing home with Grandparents. All these games are very fun and can be enjoyed by all ages!

Battle Ship- This game seems easy enough, but when you're old and have to move tiny little pegs around, it now becomes a challenge.

Dominos- Where you set up several plastic pieces (closely together) and knock them all down by pushing one of them over. Be CAREFUL not to hit any domino before that, or everything you just did has gone to waste. Even the slightest mistake will send them all tumbling.

Etch-a-sketch- The thing where you turn two knobs to make a picture, don't SHAKE it or the picture you just made will be gone.

Jacks- The game where you bounce a ball and grab one jack, bounce again, then two, then three, etc. all the way up to ten. You have to be very FAST.

Jenga/Stack Attack- The game where you very CAREFULLY pull out wooden blocks from a pile, making sure it doesn't tip over, and place them on top of the pile until someone makes it collapse. The smallest mishake could cause the pile to collapse.

Karaoke- Have them try out some of their music skills. Then can try to rap like Eminem, rock like Korn, or whatever type of music you see fitting.

Limbo- Where you bend backwards as far as you can (without falling over) and go under something like a yard stick. Very good game for flexible, agile people.

Movies- Force them to watch X rated movies then have their 90 year old spouse walk or wheel in, (which ever applies), and witness the magic!

Music- If games aren't your thing, have them listen to some modern day music! They could listen to Marilyn Manson, Korn, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Lil' Kim, Slip Knot, Limp Bizkit, etc. I'm sure everyone will just love it!

Operation- The game where you try to CAREFULLY pull out foreign objects out of a body, but you have to be careful not to hit the edges, even the tiniest bit of SHAKING, and the buzzer would go off.

Spoons- The card game where you try to grab spoons FAST and SNEAKINGLY (so no one else notices.) Make sure it doesn't make any noise.
TV- Have them watch some TV such as South Park, The Man Show, Howard Stern, and other shows that they wouldn't dream of watching.

Twister- The coordination game, right foot red, left hand blue, if forces you to BEND and TWIST in "back breaking" positions.

Weegee Board- The game where you move a game piece to spell a secret message such as OLD.

Yahtzee- They wouldn't have to PURPOSELY shake the cup you put the dice into, it would just happen naturally. Just give them the cup, and they'll shake it up by accident!
